New York-May was milder in Europe and Canada, but colder in Japan than a year ago, according to data obtained from CustomWeather and gathered by Platts. A total of 19 cities geographically representative of Europe had 39.6% fewer heating degree days in May than in May 2021. The total for the September-May period was 5.3% fewer degree days than the similar period last year and 3.6% fewer than normal.
