This paper describes a chromatographic method for the analysis of residues of chloramphenicol and nitrofurans in meat and fish. Chloramphenicol, furazolidone, furaltadone and nitro-furazone were extracted front the tissues with ethyl acetate. The extract was purified with petroleum ether and n-pentane and then analyzed with a liquid chromatograph and a photo-diode array detector using a Chromspher C-8 column.
