Textile manufacturers of the country may well be forgiven if they are seen rejoicing. The Indian textile industry has just had a great year, with post-quota numbers coming through. The overall textile output has grown nearly 20% to stand at $40 bn. Textile exports, which were growing at close to 10% before quotas were removed in 2005, have grown nearly 20% to clock revenues of $13 bn for the calendar year.
