Iraq's federal prime minister and his Iraqi Kurdish counterpart signed a deal in Baghdad on Tuesday that should enable the restart of northern crude exports. The deal signed by Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and Masrour Barzani will hold until lawmakers agree on a new oil law, which will regulate responsibilities between the federal government and Iraq's autonomous Kurdish north. Tuesday's agreement comes after Turkey on Baghdad's instructions, cut off pipeline flows last week to the port of Ceyhan, with the move triggered by Ankara's loss in a landmark court battle with Baghdad.
