This column is authored as a joint arrangement by various specialists on the staff of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organisation (JCAHO). The Sounding Board offers readers an opportunity to submit questions regarding standards and the accreditation process. Each column hosts submitted questions by the readership, along with answers by the speciality staff of the JCAHO. The JCAHO invites your participation. Please submit questions for review and consideration directly to the editor-in-chief of the journal to the editorial or via e-mail.
