One of the most-common early pregnancy conditions encountered by GPs is vaginal bleeding.It occurs in approximately 20-25% of all known pregnancies, and although the majority of women present to their local Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, a significant proportion will still be seen in the primary care setting.Therefore, an understanding of how to manage and assess these women is essential.
