Possibilities of a method of active thermolocation probing of a projection of the carotid arteries in patients with atherosclerotic stenosis of the carotid arteries

This paper discusses the possibilities of a new thermal-vision method-active thermolocation probing-in the detection of atherosclerotic plaques of the carotid arteries, as well as in evaluating their status. It is demonstrated that this method of investigation is sensitive with respect to atherosclerotic plaques having ultrasound symptoms of instability ( a risk factor of cardiovascular complications).
