HAAF gets a wartime Auster

The Middle Wallop, Hampshire-based Historic Army Aircraft Flight Trust has acquired Taylorcraft Auster I LB312/G-AHXE. A genuine former No 651 Squadron air observation post that was originally rolled out of the Taylorcraft assembly shed at Rearsby, Leicestershire during the summer of 1942, the aircraft, c/n 171, had been owned by legendary light aircraft restorer and airline pilot John Pothecary for the past 45 years.
