To expand leadership in flat panel market, Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT) has acquired the Hollywood Quality Video (HQV) and Reon brands of Silicon Optix. The high performance video processing and high-speed input-output capabilities of these brands enables IDT to improve further its products by integrating the HQV and Reon brands, and at the same time look forward for a robust roadmap in the digital display market.In video processing, the HQV technology enables the performance through de-interlacing, noise reduction and scaling of both standard-definition (SD) and high-definition (HD) signals. These improve the quality of HD-enabled device or providing near-HD quality for standard definition display device.
