Thermal vision and the variability of cardiac rhythm in evaluating the vascular reactions of the hands in patients with ischemic heart disease
In order to choose people for medical examination, a thermal-vision study of the hands and a computer analysis of the variability of the cardiac rhythm were carried out before and after immersing the left hand up to the lower third of the forearm for one minute in a vessel with water at a temperature of 6-8°C. The initial symmetry of the thermal radiation of the hands and the convection type of restoration of heat transport by the blood flow through the vascular system of the arteries of the hand and fingers under the parasympathetic regulation of the vegetative nervous system was evidence of the compensation of the blood circulation. Hypothermia of the forearm and the fingers of the left hand and the contact method of heat transport from the warm zones within the forearm to the cold zones within the hands under the increased activity of the sympathetic nervous system and the equilibrium of the sections of vegetative regulation of the cardiac rhythm after a test with cooling was evidence of the torpidity of the compensator vascular reactions and served as a basis for an in-depth examination in connection with ischemic heart disease.
