AbstractA new experiment to show and to explain the supposition sfo air pollution by tropospheric ozone in summer is introduced. Nitrogen oxides are produced by a sparking plug, followed by UV‐irradiation including high temperature. The reaction of the hydrocarbons is simulated by a circulation incited by a gas pump. The determination of ozone by cracking rubber was used for the first time in the forties to investigate the Los Angeles smog. The result can be obtained within twelve minute
