Appraisal of value added articles by calotropis procera weed handmade paper

Calotropis procera plant is abundantly scattered throughout the country and has received a certain amount of scientific attention in the past Milkweed is a natural herbaceous perennial with widely dispersed rhizomes that develop stems that reach heights of 112 to 5 feet in the summer. Two types of fibre can be obtained from the milkweed plant the long, strong but brittle bast fibre and the seed hair fibre known as floss. The milkweed's horn-shaped pods swell with 50 to 100 seeds, each attached to a silky floss parachute. Milkweed pod fiber has been used as a fibre source. Handmade paper appears to be highly important due to its tree-free nature. Handmade papermaking is a green and clean enterprise as uses 100 per cent wood-free fibres in its production. For the present research work fiber obtained from milkweed pod fibre were used, Number of products from milkweed floss handmade sheet was made and acceptability among consumers were interpreted. The results revealed that developed value added article with Milkweed handmade sheet was liked by all the respondents.
