Recently the development of wireless communication system is remarkable, and microwave and millimeter-wave passive devices such as a resonator, filter, power divider/combiner and directional coupler have been demanded high performance to accomplish small-size, low-loss, multi-band, and wideband. Several approaches and new techniques are currently in the practice for their development purposes. The purpose of this special section is to exchange recent information and to promote research and development on microwave and millimeter-wave passive circuit elements.
