Simple computation method of soft value for iterative decoding for product code composed of linear block code

摘要

Simple computation method of soft value, that used in iterativesoft decision decoding, is proposed. For the product code composed ofBCH(63,57)and that composed of BCH(63,45), computation time with theproposed method is 1/15-1/6 as that with a method based on the Chasealgorithm. Bit error rate(BER)performance with the proposed method isWithin 0.6dBinferior to that with the method based on the Chasealgorithm at BER = 10~-5.
