ABSTRACT:Visual problems can cause poor academic performance or inappropriate behavior. This article explains simple, easily administered procedures to determine if students have problems with acuity, accommodation, binocularity, or eye movements. The evaluator can use vision screening in conjunction with associated learning or behavior problems to initiate referral to the family vision care specialist.
