Additive noise response of a charge pump phase-locked loop

摘要

The additive noise response of a charge pump phase-locked loop inthe synchronous mode of operation has been studied. In order todetermine the tracking and noise perfor- mances of the loop, meansquare values of tracking error and local oscillator phase jitterhave been analytically obtained. An- alytical results agree well withthe simulation results obtained here and elsewhere[3]. The analysisperformed can be used in choosing different system parameters foroptimum system oper- ation.
