Southern Russia's Ilsky refinery, connected to Transneft's pipeline system in late March, could receive about 1mn t of low-sulphur crude through a 1.5mn t/yr spur from the Krymsk-Krasnodar trunk route this year, enough to cover about 30pc of capacity. Pipeline supplies could rise, but Ilsky will keep receiving crude by rail as it tries to boost output. Ilsky, owned by private-sector company Kuban, was ear- lier expected to receive first crude through the pipeline spur in January. Initially, the plant was not expected to be con- nected to the Transneft system before February 2017. Pipeline supplies will reach 140,000 t/month this year, market partici- pants say. Some 110,000t was delivered through the 4.3km spur in April, Kuban says.
