Urals diferentials this year have oscillated between 12-year lows and all-time highs against Atlantic basin benchmark North Sea Dated, in the most volatile year for crude markets in over a decade. December Urals trade wrapped up earlier this month with a furry of Baltic cargoes changing hands at their widest discounts to North Sea Dated since April. Muted demand for late-December supply pushed ofers deep into negative terri- tory, with sellers eventually clearing cargoes at $1.05-1.10/bl discounts — more than $1.40/bl below where December trade began in late November.
