Chilton DW1 G-AFGI has been acquired from long-term White Waltham-based owner Kathryn McDonald by Brigitte Koch for the Fliegendes Museum, now based at Landshut, Bavaria. The Berkshire-built, Walter Mikron 2-powered, 1939-vintage ultralight arrived at its new home in Germany during September. The two ex-Belgian Air Component Sea King Mk48s, RS02/OO-SEE and RS04/OO-KNG, which have been restored to airworthiness at their former Koksijde base for Historic Helicopters were flown to their new home at Chard, Somerset on 20 October. Both are expected to be on the airshow circuit in 2022. Latest in the seemingly inexhaustible flow of restored airframes to go on show at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Arizona is a former US Army Sikorsky VH-34C Choctaw, 57-1684, which served as a VIP transport for Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson during the 1960s.
