Mn ore prices stop increasing in China due to weaker demand

Chinese Mn ore suppliers have stabilised prices as they have been unable to increase tags again due to weaker business activity. SiMn prices are also stable and the market prospects are positive. Port prices for Mn ore remained unchanged over the week. South African Mn ore (36-38% Mn) is still available at RMB 36.5-37/dmtu ($4.78-4.84/dmtu excluding VAT), while Australian Mn ore (46% Mn) is quoted at RMB 47.5-48/dmtu ($6.22-6.28/dmtu excluding VAT). Having contracted major Mn ore volumes, Chinese consumers have left the market. Thus, traders have failed to raise prices again.
