The situation in the CIS pig iron segment has remained tense in August. Deliveries from Ukraine are still affected by numerous risks related to the ongoing hostilities in the country and logistical issues. Demand for Russia-origin material is depressed by both international sanctions and the subsequent expenses. The situation is also aggravated by the generally adverse conditions in the global market.
