demand slowdown continues

Chinese apparent oil demand — domes- tic production plus net imports — fell to 9.62mn b/d in July, a nine-month low, after the country reduced its crude imports. The July figure was still 450,000 b/d higher than a year earlier. But China’s economic growth is slower than official data suggest, economists say.
