BlSea small-tonnage market uncertain, with more offers from Ukrainian deep-water ports and less from EU and Danube

In the Black Sea, small-tonnage activity is supported only by gradually increasing grain shipments ex Ukrainian deep-water ports. Meanwhile, the cargo offer from Danube and EU ports keeps weakening, with growing tonnage list in both the Black and Marmara Seas. At the moment: Charterers offer $53/t for shipment of 8-11,000 t of wheat from Odesa to the Marmara Sea, $65/t to Egypt and up to $70/t to EC Italy with AWRP on owner’s acct given 2,000 sshex l/d rates and spot laycans (equivalent to $11.5-12.5k daily bss RV); Meanwhile, other charterers are ready to pay $57/t with AWRP on owner’s acct for transportation of 13-14,000 t of wheat from Chornomorsk to the Marmara Sea and mid-$60s/t to Lebanon or Mersin with much better l/d rates of 6,000x/5,000x and 1H Sep laycans; Exporters have managed to fix a vessel at mid-$50s/t for transportation of 8,000 t of grain from Odesa to the Marmara Sea;
