摘要

Abstract This paper investigates the reliability metrics used to assess the strength of a six-subsystem reverse osmosis system. The raw water tank, sand filter, carbonated filter, precision filter, reverse osmosis membrane, and water production tank are all part of the system. The Markov birth death rule was used to generate the system of partial differential equations. Other reliability characteristics for assessing system strength were evaluated, including availability, reliability, mean time to failure (MTTF), profit analysis, and sensitivity analysis. The Maple software was used to obtain numerical solutions. In addition, a graphical representation of the numerical results was provided to demonstrate the behaviors of reliability characteristics with respect to time and failure rate. The new study could help water treatment companies and their repairers overcome some of the challenges faced by repairers of specialized manufacturing and industrial systems that operate in harsh environments or contaminated environments unfit for human consumption.
