Uncertain demand growth along with an almost equally uncertain supply picture combined to push down crude prices. Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated fell by $1.92/bl to $104.75/bl in the week to 3 April, while US light sweet benchmark WTI shed 99¢/bl to $100.29/bl. North Sea Dated fell sharply on 2 April to $103.19/bl, its lowest in almost six months, as reports of a deal between the central Libyan government and rebel groups boosted the prospects of renewed light sweet crude exports from the beleaguered country. But the grade rebounded to some extent the next day as the optimism over Libya faded.
