Egypt’s steel output stays high. The local steel sector is still facing sharp currency fluctuations and bank reforms. Egypt produced 882,600 t of steel in August (+5 from July). Meanwhile, an unfavourable economic situation in Egypt is jeopardizing demand from the construction sector, which may affect this year’s steel output.
