Eurostat data sparks debate about energy prices in Czechia

In a leading televised debate on Czech Television (CT), Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela said that his ministry surveyed 70% of the market to assess the energy prices customers actually pay in the country. Sikela’s ministry did so in response to Eurostat data released last week showing Czech gas prices increased by 231% year-on-year and were the highest in the EU.
