Serbia plans €15bn energy infrastructure investments

Serbia plans to invest approximately €15bn in energy infrastructure in the upcoming years, Milan Aleksic, assistant to the energy minister responsible for the electricity sector, told the CIGRE Serbia 2023 conference on electric power in Zlatibor, a ministry statement said on May 23. According to Aleksic, most of the investments will be directed towards production capacities, transmission and distribution networks as the country aims for energy independence.
