Kosovo's gross available electricity in March fell by 10% y/y to 681.4 GWh, the country's statistics institute said on May 23. Kosovo relies mostly on coal-fired power plants, but is working to diversify its generation portfolio with renewable energy sources. Electricity generation from thermal power plants decreased by 19% year on year to 539.6 GWh in March, while power production from hydropower plants jumped by 190% to 38.3 GWh.
