Romania's total installed power capacity is set to jump by roughly 32% in 2030 compared to 2020, mainly due to installing new wind and solar energy capacities amounting to 2.302 GW and 3.692 GW respectively. This is according to a new report on renewable energy in Southeast Europe by McKinsey. This would bring the total installed capacities of wind and solar projects in 2030 to 5.255 GW and 5.054 GW respectively, with intermediary goals of 4.334 GW and 3.393 GW for 2025.
