Slovenia’s HSE to start returning €200mn to state in June

State-run Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH), which last December recapitilised the power utility Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE) with €492mn, has adopted a resolution obliging HSE to return the first tranche of these funds in the amount of €200mn, HSE announced on March 6. HSE received the subsequent payments from SSH at the end of last year due to the extraordinary situation on the energy markets, which affected the production companies of the HSE Group. The funds enabled the HSE Group to navigate through the crisis and provide a reliable and competitive supply of electricity in Slovenia.
