Decent session for commodities

The SP 500 dropped nearly 0.2, setting the ASX up for an early fall. ASX futures were down 26 points. The Australian dollar was trading at US67.07c. Base metals had a good session, with all rising. Nickel continued its recent rebound, adding another 1 to $23,902 per tonne, the highest since March 7. Nickel is now up by 8 over the past week. It's a similar story for aluminium, which rose to a three-week high of $2345/t.
