For all the hype about a new-look Common Agricultural Policy for the upcoming 2023-27 period, the over-riding impression from the implementation plans which have been presented thus far can be summarised as ‘business as usual’. Key policies have been re-defined and re-labeled, and there have been some changes in emphasis within individual member states, as compared with the ‘old’ CAP regime (which in fact still remains in force until the end of this year).
