In the precious metals space, gold was up slightly overnight as inflation concerns remained elevated in the US, but platinum and palladium posted big falls, with the latter hitting a 52-week low. Zinc prices fell 0.48 due to still weak demand, but they remain high compared to the past decade's level, but there are expectations that it will rise later in the year once Chinese demand recovers.
