Sumitomo Chemical restructures its North American businesses

Sumitomo Chemical has restructured its North American businesses, creating a new parent company for the region, Valent North America (Libertyville, Illinois). Valent North America becomes the parent company of subsidiaries, Valent USA (San Ramon, California) and Valent Biosciences (also Libertyville). It will provide enterprise business services across the Valent group of companies, Sumitomo says. Associate oicer and general manager at Sumitomo’s AgroSolutions international division, Tadashi Katayama, says that the new structure will support the group’s growth in North America. “I’m confident this new entity will further help the Valent group deliver sustainable, profitable solutions to meet the challenges of food production, and the future needs of the environment and society.”
