Uruguayan authority recommends approval of three GM crop technologies

Uruguayan biosafety authorities have recommended approval of three genetically modified crop technologies. They include a cotton, a soybean and stacked GM corn (maize). The national biosafety body’s risk management commission, the CGR, has called for public comments on its assessments for, BASF’s herbicide-tolerant GHB811 cotton, Corteva Agriscience’s insect-resistant and herbicide-tolerant DAS81419 soybeans, and Syngenta’s BT11xMIR162xNK603 corn.
