Brazilian agchem treated area up 13 in Q1

The agrochemical product area treated (PAT) in Brazil increased by 13.4% in the first three months of this year, according to the national crop protection trade association, the Sindiveg. PAT is calculated by multiplying the area treated with the frequency of applications. The rise was dominated by application on soybeans. The oilseed accounted for some 37% of the treated area compared with 33% in the same period last year.
