STK/Bio-Gene forge global collaboration

Israeli biopesticide company STK Bio-ag Technologies and Australian biotechnology business Bio-Gene Technology (Melbourne) have agreed a “global collaboration partnership” involving the latter’s β-triketone insecticide, Qcide (tasmanone). The deal grants STK a “world-wide non-exclusive” license to develop, register and commercialise the technology for crop protection applications. Tasmanone is derived from the Australian eucalypt tree, Gympie messmate (Eucalyptus cloeziana).
