The Brazilian competition authority, the Cade, has reportedly approved the proposed Corteva Agriscience takeover deal for US biostimulants business Stoller (Houston, Texas). The Cade investigation found that there were “horizontal overlaps in the segments of biological products, adjuvants and oils”, Brazilian agribusiness news service Revista Cultivar reports. Therefore, the most careful assessment of them falls upon these issues. As for the market for organic crop use products, the opinion expresses that “the definition of the relevant market was left open in the previously analysed CADE cases, having been given a greater focus on the marketing and distribution of these products”.
