US EPA hikes annual pesticide registration maintenance fee

The US EPA has issued a notification informing pesticide registrants of an increase in the annual pesticide registration maintenance fee. The move reverses the regulator’s decision in December 2022 to lower such charges with an intention to meet statutory requirements and avoid an overcollection of fees under the country’s Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act (PRIA) of 2018.
