Seedcorp Ho inaugurates RD facility in Brazil

Brazilian seed business Seedcorp Ho (Goiania) has inaugurated a research station in Brazil. It replaces a facility the company owned in Argentina. Research and development director at the company, Irineu Hartwig, says that commercial results in southern Brazil have been “growing positively” and that the move will enable its genetic improvements programme to produce more adapted solutions to market. Seedcorp invested some R$6 million (US$1.2 million at the current rate) over 2021 and 2022 in the facility, encompassing equipment, infrastructure and personnel. The station covers some 40 ha.
