Visible Past: Online Exploratorium

Created through a collaboration between different institutions based at Purdue University (USA), the Visible Past web site aims at providing an interactive platform to access historical information for research and learning purposes. The site is designed using a geo-referenced Wiki; KML-encoding allows the system to interact with Google Earth. VR models have been used to display a computer simulation of historical locations and events.
