CIS steel slab suppliers bullish; bookings stable

In the export market for steel slab from the Commonwealth of Independent States, suppliers remained bullish in the week to Monday December 21, leaving deal prices largely unchanged. This left Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel slab, export, fob Black Sea, CIS at $620-625 per tonne on December 21. A sale of slab was heard to Italy at $640 per tonne cfr early in the week to December 21 - equivalent to about $620 per tonne fob and about the same at the latest sales to Turkey on December 9-10.
