Lifeboats in the limelight

The Paris and Tokyo region port state control (PSC) authorities began a joint concentrated inspection campaign (CIC) into lifeboat launching this month. On every vessel selected for PSC inspection during the three-month CIC, the lifeboat launching arrangements, maintenance records and other applicable documentation will be verified for compliance with SOLAS.
