No matter the cause, the main concern for the owner and diagnosing vet is likely to be maintaining or maximising the patient's quality of life.Generalised progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) is a group of genetic diseases found in particular breeds, which leads to a gradual loss of vision, while sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome (SARDS) can result in a rapid-onset blindness.
