New engines take a bow

Of all the machinery on show at SMM, engines are generally most impressive and attract the most attention, although even the largest of the units that can be exhibited would be dwarfed by the two-stroke monsters fitted to the largest bulkers, tankers and container ships. This year, SMM was used to launch several engines, including two from MAN Diesel Turbo and the first dual-fuel offering from Anglo-Belgian Corporation (ABC), which is celebrating its centenary this year.
