Wholesale asphalt prices on the US Atlantic coast rose to $170- 205/st this week as buyers faced new limitations on supply options and refiners contended with rising production costs. Shrinking or nearly-shut overseas arbitrages have left buyers searching for alternative supply. Mediterranean sup- ply remained priced at or above USAC waterborne asphalt, restricting the option of fxing cheaper import material. Larger vessels that were booked from European suppliers a month ago arrived at the US port of Wilmington in April.
