摘要

Abstract Man-made or natural catastrophes cause disruptions of the entire demand–supply chain. Generally, it takes longer to make up the demand–supply chain and ultimately there is a loss of revenue and reputation. The major purpose of this paper is to evaluate the cost–benefit and reliability of a bio-coal manufacturing plant with deviation in demand. Whenever demand deviates, it affects the production of the manufacturing plant, which is unable to reduce production when demand decreases from the market. As total production exceeds demand then usually the system has to shut down (to save with) and there is no production when the plant is in downstate. Moreover, we restart the production process when we get back to the expected demand from the market. RPGT and Markov's process are utilized to figure out the framework expressions i.e., availability, mean time plant failure, and profit of the manufacturing plant. Illustrations are presented to validate the results. Tables and graphs are drawn followed by analysis.
