While Rotterdam has been struggling to cope with the current flood of imports from China, nearby Amsterdam has been crying out for more traffic, but only getting it in fits and starts. The northern Netherlands port claims to have everything importers need, from a world class container terminal to excellent hinterland connections, so where is the problem?
