Montreal ahead in NA port growth

Statistics recently published by the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) reveal that, of the container ports located on the eastern seaboard of North America, Canada's leading gateway of Montreal achieved the fastest rate of growth. In the January/end-June period, Montreal was one of only three ports to post a rise in box throughput, with traffic up 7.9% to 725,283TEU. Savannah (+6.8%) and Hampton Roads (Virginia - +1.6%) were the others.
